Could Luka Jovic move from Real Madrid to Milan?

Luka Jovic was brought over from Eintracht Frankfurt after an extraordinary season to Real Madrid for a sum of 60 million euros. Currently, ahead of him is the 11-year Madridista, Karim Benzema.

Karim Benzema has tallied 19 goals and 9 assists in all competitions. Since Cristiano Ronaldo departed for Juventus, Karim Benzema has been taking the charge. Hopefully, in the foreseeable future, Luka Jovic can contribute at a higher level after a potential loan spell with A.C. Milan.

Luka Jovic suffered a foot injury at his Belgrade home while training on May 8th. This means that Jovic will not be able to play when the La Liga restarts on June 12th. Under Benzema’s curfew, when healthy, he has struggled to tap into the lineup. On top of that, he failed to follow the rules in Serbia about the coronavirus restrictions.

More from The Real Champs

In order for Luka Jovic to jumpstart his career, a loan move to AC Milan might be in the works. His former teammate at Eintracht Frankfurt, Ante Rebic, who was apart of the “Magical Triangle” with Sebastien Haller, is now with AC Milan.

Jovic could move to Milan on loan and build immediate chemistry by reuniting with Rebic. This would be a win-win situation on both sides.

Real Madrid have the ability to further develop the player, and AC Milan are strengthening the teams’ position at the top. During the 2018-2019 season, Rebic tallied nine goals and four assists in addition to Luka’s 17 goals and 5 assists at Eintracht Frankfurt.

Luka Jovic definitely has the potential to be one of the best players in his generation.

Perhaps, we could see Luka Jovic next year playing behind Karim Benzema with more playing time. However, time is moving fast.

If Florentino Perez does not think he is ready for Real Madrid, they will go look at their options such as Erling Haaland or Kylian Mbappe.

However, if both Haaland and Mbappe do not decide to come to Madrid for any reason, Real Madrid would have to keep Jovic because there is not that much depth at the striker position other than Mariano.
