2. Barcelona

La Blaugrana are absolutely the second-best team in the league behind Real Madrid, and they still have a chance to win it all if Los Blancos slip up again. Barcelona are not an impressive side and are in a bit of trouble, given their lack of depth in attack and questionable level of talent in midfield. But with Lionel Messi, they are always dangerous.

3. Sevilla

Sevilla have consistently shown they can play with the best teams in La Liga. They’ve given Real all they could handle, too, though Real’s big-game dominance once again carried the day with two narrow victories over their former manager’s team. Lucas Ocampos, Jesus Navas, and the rest of Sevilla’s stars, which includes a Real Madrid loanee in Sergio Reguilon, are definitely impressing.

4. Atletico Madrid

La Liga has a lot of parity, so the “top three” has now become a “top two”, as in Atletico Madrid are basically fighting for a Champions League spot at this point. They aren’t better than Sevilla, and the standings how it. However, with players like Arsenal target Thomas Partey and future superstar Joao Felix, they have far too much talent to not finish in the top four.

Their match against Osasuna, which they won 5-0, offers a glimpse at how electric they can be when they get their stuff together. After all, they knocked Liverpool out of the Champions League before COVID-19 stopped football.
