An in-form Vinicius Junior

Vinicius Junior is fearless. Whenever he’s on the pitch, Real Madrid look that much more dangerous, and he was the best player in their recent wins over Real Sociedad and RCD Mallorca. The young Brazilian didn’t start against Espanyol, but he put in loads of hard work against the Catalan club.

It looks like Vinicius could get the start against Getafe on Thursday, especially if Zinedine Zidane can find a way to play both him and Eden Hazard. Vinicius’ energy and confidence on the ball could make him even more dangerous than Hazard for Getafe.

Like Fede Valverde, Vinicius only played 19 minutes against Getafe earlier in the season, but that also means the opposition hasn’t dealt with him for an extended period of time before. Facing against Vinicius for more than 30 minutes is an entirely different equation.

With the form he’s in this year, Vinicius can put points on the board for Real Madrid all on his own. He’s been one of the team’s most important players, and it’s hard seeing even Getafe’s defense having an answer for a player who has shredded Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, and Real Sociedad in big games this season. The 19-year-old could easily come up with another goal contribution on Thursday.
