Midfielders

Casemiro – 7.5/10

Casemiro is building a habit of putting out monster performances in the middle of the park. His consistency as an anchor is key to Los Blancos’ winning streak. The midfielder should be in the contention for Real Madrid’s best player of the season.

Casemiro’s ability to read the game and stop attacks are second to none. According to Whoscored.com, he had a game-high five interceptions, three successful tackles, won three aerial duels, and had two clearances.

Fede Valverde – 7/10

Fede Valverde delivered another no-nonsense performance in the box-to-box role. He kept things simple and did what was asked of him.

His combination play with Rodrygo almost led to the Brazilian winger a chance at goal. He completed 95 percent of his passes.

Luka Modric – 7.5/10

Luka Modric was massive in giving Real Madrid control of the game and maintaining possession. He grew into the game and orchestrated the majority of the Royal White’s attacking plays.

It is always a delight to watch the Croatian on the ball when he is on his game. Towards the end of the game, Real Madrid needed to manage the game and protect their one-goal lead. Modric slowing the pace down and nut-megging an incoming Yuri to maintain possession was a moment to remember from the match.

He completed 91 percent of his passes, with five successful long balls and one key pass in the match.
