FW Vinicius Junior

There are two ways Vinicius Junior can make a match-winning impact for Real Madrid. Either he’ll start as the left winger in a 4-3-3 and work hard on both ends of the pitch to create for others and neutralize wing back Victor Diaz, or he’ll start next to Karim Benzema as a forward in the two-forward diamond formation.

In either case, Vinicius will be crucial to victory, but he’d do so in different roles. Taking the diamond formation as an example, he could make a goal-scoring impact similar to what he did against Mallorca, when he scored a delicious chip and nearly scored another filthy chip minutes later in that first half.

Vinicius was the best player on the pitch in those 2-1 and 2-0 wins over Real Sociedad and Mallorca, showing, once again, why he’s one of the most impressive players on Real Madrid at the age of 19.

On Friday, Rodrygo Goes started on the left and dazzled by constantly taking on Alaves defenders. And this Monday, Vinicius will most likely start and do the same against Granada. His importance to the team will increase if Karim Benzema shows signs of pain and fatigue after a big night against Alaves.

Vinicius is a player Granada will have no answers for. Their center backs will struggle to take care of Vinicius, who always seems to be two steps ahead of the opposition.
