CB Benoit Badiashile

Benoit Badiashile Mukinayi is one of the best young center backs in European football right now, and he has recently emerged on Real Madrid’s transfer radar due to Zinedine Zidane’s interest in the player. And when Zidane wants a young player, you listen. He’s successfully identified Bayern Munich icon Franck Ribery, Real’s FIFA 20 cover star Eden Hazard, and current world’s best center back Raphael Varane back when they were young players in Ligue 1.

Badiashile has all the tools to be a tremendous fit for Real Madrid, and he wouldn’t cost more than 30 million euros. If Los Blancos want him, they would be the favorites to land his signature on the transfer market.

The 19-year-old is coming off an exceptional season at AS Monaco. Per WhoScored.com, the French center back logged 1,413 minutes, recording 1.7 interceptions per game with 3.5 aerial duels won per game. Throw in his 1.1 tackles per game and 85.3 pass completion percentage on nearly 60 passes per game, and you get one of the most well-rounded teenage defenders you’ll see in Europe.

Badiashile has the football IQ, ability in the air, and passing composure as a young player to one day develop into a star at Real Madrid. Those are the traits that Zidane and other decision-makers at the Santiago Bernabeu seem to value the most. It’s good to hear reports that Real would be willing to sign Badiashile this summer.
