4. Pervis Estupiñán, LB Osasuna

Pervis Estupiñán is on Watford’s books, so he won’t be a La Liga player next season. But I’m sure Madridistas and other La Liga observers got to enjoy Estupiñán’s class. He shined brightly throughout the 2019-2020 season for a tough Osasuna side, and while Real got past them twice, he distinguished himself as a star performer in Real’s 2-0 September win.

Estupiñán made an impact in all phases of the game. Not only did he have a goal with five assists in La Liga, but the Ecuador international also had 1.6 dribbles per game, 1.2 key passes per game, and 1.1 fouls drawn per game to confirm his status as one of the league’s best attacking fullbacks.

Defensively, the 23-year-old left back was an absolute star. And yes, he deserves to be called a star. For her recorded 2.3 tackles per game and 1.6 interceptions per game, making nearly four defensive contributions per match for the hard-nosed Osasuna.

Estupiñán will head back to Watford and will be ready to dazzle the Premier League, joining the list of impressive fullbacks in England’s top flight. Real Madrid fans won’t miss having to deal with his defensive work and attacking threat, but Estupiñán surely earned the respect of Madridistas all over the world for his strong season.
