Real Madrid: 3 reason why Real is so good when Mendy starts

Real Madrid is in top gear the Los Blancos side has won the last six consecutive games. Left-back Ferland Mendy was a crucial part of it.

Real Madrid has won all its games after that defeat in Kyiv against Shaktar. Zidane has managed to control all the games with good possession. Real is something different when the French defender Ferland Mendy is on the ball. Mendy was signed back in 2019 along with Hazard and Luka Jovic. Mendy was the best signing among these players.

Mendy overtook the position of Legendary Brazilian defender Marcelo who has been off the mark after the 2018 season. Mendy starts almost every time for Real. Whenever Mendy has started for the Los Blancos they haven’t conceded a defeat in the League games. Mendy has amazing qualities in him. There are various reasons why Real is so good when he starts.

1)  Defensive abilities

Mendy is a beast, his defensive abilities are astonishing. Mendy along with Ramos on the left flank has covered the defense every time. Mendy is calm and lethal during the opponent’s attack he hardly fouls a player or creates a mess in his own box. He tackles calmy and converts it into an attacking transition. He has hardly disappointed Zidane or the fans whenever he has played.

2) Mendy trackback’s

The reason Mendy starts over Marcelo is trackback I guess. Marcelo now is slow in tracking back when the opponent is with the ball. Whereas Mendy is amazing is tracking back. This helps Ramos very well he doesn’t have to cover the left-back position. Mendy has the pace and he shows all the enthusiasm in the game. He is good at both Defensive as well as attacking transitions.

3) Mendy’s pace in attack

We all know how good Mendy is in defense. In the attacking role, he has that pace he helps in the attack a lot. He is not good at providing great passes like Marcelo inside the box but he will surely improve in it with no time. He doesn’t wait in his own box looking for passes he directly tries to run into the opponents half which is good as there won’t a risk of a hauler caused in his own half.

In a recent game against Granada, Sevilla, Atleti, and other games Mendy has contributed a lot and it is being noticed that he has turned into a regular starter.
