Real Madrid know they need to make upgrades to their front line in the summer 2021 transfer window. Continuing with Karim Benzema as the sole proven goal-scorer is a recipe for disaster. If this attack barely worked in 2019-2020 and is now sputtering in 2020-2021, then the 2021-2022 version of Real’s forward line could be a new low if nothing changes.

It won’t be easy for Florentino Perez to make a marquee signing this summer due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its profound impact on the club’s financial situation. Real Madrid may be a powerful club, but they are not bankrolled by a country or oligarch. Therefore, it will take some bold maneuvering from Perez. But he has done so before. Let’s never forget how he won the presidency in the first place, convincing Luis Figo to leave Barcelona for Los Merengues.

So let’s assume Perez pulls it off. He’s already put all his chips on the table for 2021 by not signing anyone last summer, instead selling both Achraf Hakimi and Sergio Reguilon. And surely, more sales will be on the way in 2021 to fund a Galactico transfer.

Here is a look at the ideal Real Madrid front three for the 2021-2022 season with this ideal Galactico signing in mind.
