Mariano Diaz:

Mariano has been with Real Madrid since 2011, starting as an Under-19 player. Every year we see him only as a Benzema back-up. He doesn’t get enough opportunities to play or showcase his abilities. The reason is also that Real Madrid doesn’t need him as they have Jovic to back Benzema.

We have seen Mariano play. He is eager to do something for Real. But this eagerness has rather turned his career upside-down at Madrid. He is often caught offside, misses a few chances, sometimes not in the right position.

I don’t want to say it, but it is the truth- Mariano doesn’t have a future in Madrid. Moreover, Mariano is young. He can achieve a lot of things in his life. But for that, he needs to leave Madrid. Also, it will be better for Real if they get him to leave, given they have tried it before.

No manager prefers to use him over a quality player like Benzema and now, him being reluctant to leave might just worsen the situation. He wants to stay at Real to prove himself but I don’t see him getting to do that. So, my suggestion to him is that he should look at other options to blossom into the player he can be.
