Kylian Mbappe is the final piece of the long-term sporting project which Perez has strived to build. The likes of Eder Militao, Federico Valverde, and Takefusa Kubo are for the farther future, as are Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo- who at this point may be distant in quality from Mbappe. With a few more great players already in Real’s grasp, Mbappe is the one who will complete a puzzle in Spain.
The 22-year-old is set to take over the reigns from Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, so he will also be a catalyst in influencing which players the club signs in the future. Playing next to one of the world’s very best in one of the world’s very best teams is exactly what an ambitious player wants that, and doing so next to Mbappe two or three years later may be like doing it with Ronaldo now.
PSG have a flamboyant squad but they have little cover in terms of youngsters. Finances will not always bail them out, especially with clubs like Barcelona, Juventus, Manchester United, as well as Real Madrid managing to attract world-class players due to their historical prestige and dynastical dominance in the world of football.
