BENZEMA WILL STAY AS A PRIMARY SCORER DESPITE MBAPPE POSSIBLY SIGNING

Even if Kylian Mbappe does sign for Real Madrid, Benzema will stay as a regular scorer from next season. Unlike what he did in the past when the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale were present, Benzema would not sacrifice his gameplay to get the best out of Mbappe, especially because his compatriot is still very young and can play like the Ronaldo of old, per se.

Moreover, Bale and Ronaldo were two out and out scorers and hence, Benzema had to adapt to a creative role because there was nobody else who could do it. Now, a fully fit Eden Hazard or an exuberant Vinicius Junior can play from slightly deep and supply Benzema with the balls to finish chances and possibly Mbappe too.

In addition to that, Carlo Ancelotti is potentially going to adhere to a very offensive system and Real Madrid may be able to replicate their goal-scoring numbers of old, wherein they would hit four or five past opponents on a nearly regular basis.

Interesting times lie ahead for the Madridistas and more so because Benzema has delivered the goods under Zinedine Zidane, who was not the best tactician, so he is bound to succeed under Ancelotti- who is one of football’s best tactical brains ever.
