LUKA MODRIC AND TONI KROOS- MIDFIELDERS

Real Madrid fans are set to experience another year of Luka Modric’s magic after the Croatian international penned a new deal with Los Blancos until 2022. Meanwhile, Toni Kroos has pledged his loyalty to Real Madrid in his open letter to Germany in light of his international football retirement.

Both Kroos and Modric performed well at the Euros and look stronger than ever for the new season, despite their respective ages. The duo have been pivotal for Los Blancos since they signed for the club in 2012 and 2014 respectively, but have somewhat amped up their performances in the past two seasons to a whole new level.

There is absolutely no doubt that Modric and Kroos will remain as undisputable starters next season under Carlo Ancelotti. The duo worked with Ancelotti before during his first tenure and are now reunited with the Italian once again.

Luka Modric and Toni Kroos played a pivotal role in the 2019/20 La Liga championship campaign and if they put on the same level of performances then they could certainly guide Real to their 35th La Liga title.

Casemiro will also play an important role as the Brazilian’s presence in the midfield helps Modric and Kroos to play freely and express themselves. The 29-year-old scored six goals last season in the league with several of them being match-deciders.

The midfield is of utmost importance next season to deliver silverware and only time will tell how Ancelotti will make use of Real’s engine room.
