CRISTIANO RONALDO- JUVENTUS

Cristiano Ronaldo was supposedly keen on leaving Juventus some weeks ago, but the questions regarding the Portuguese international’s futures have cooled down at least for the time being. Once again as in Pogba’s situation, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid were touted to be the two destinations for the greatest goal-getter of the UEFA Champions League.

Los Blancos should not sign Ronaldo either because of his age and because his arrival will hamper a lot of young players- who are clearly the club’s future if Florentino Perez’s sporting project is to be trusted. In addition to that, the former Manchester United ace is 36 years old and does not offer absolutely any guarantee of his continuity at the very highest level of football.

A lot has been said about him playing in his 40s, but injuries certainly make a football player’s career fickle and at 36, Los Merengues don’t want to take such a risk only for marketing and short-term profitability. Finally, they will offer Ronaldo just one year on his contract by their policy so spending considerable money on him is a choice that is far from ideal.

A last dance is something we all want to see for him at Real Madrid, but certainly not at the cost of more than one thing at the club.
