GARETH BALE

Gareth Bale is in the final year of his contract and at the back of absolutely no offers for him, Real Madrid are all set to keep the player. Bale himself is also interested in fulfilling the final year of his contract and he may not be the worst player to have around at the club in the event that he improves his off-field conduct, which was visible towards the end of 2019/20 under Zidane.

Bale flourished at Tottenham Hotspur during the 2020/21 season and scored 16 goals in all competitions despite playing a second-fiddle role to the likes of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min. Jose Mourinho truly managed to get the best out of him and if he can maintain an optimal level of fitness, there is no reason why Carlo Ancelotti will not rely on him either. He is a superb option.

Los Blancos are selling themselves short on the right wing and again, whether or not Mbappe arrives this summer, Bale is bound to get his chances- whether they are on a regular basis or whether they are off the bench and against selected few opponents. He must score at least 10 goals this season and that would be a great help to an overworked Benzema too.
