EDEN HAZARD

Eden Hazard scored just once in his first full season at Real Madrid, which was 2019/20 and then four times during 2020/21. As a matter of fact, he suffered from an ill fate in both his seasons at the club so far as his fitness issues provided him with absolutely no respite. This season, he looks in better shape than he ever was and he is aware of the pressure he is under to make an impact.

Hazard enjoyed his best scoring season at Chelsea prior to departing the club and it was expected that he would replicate those brilliant numbers with Real Madrid. However, a supposed lack of attacking system under Zinedine Zidane and some very bad luck with his fitness led to him having a tumultuous couple of years. That said, this may well be his final chance to create a name too.

He needs to score between 10 and 15 goals this season too and provide a similar number of assists, which is a very achievable outcome given that he can be the world’s very best player on his day. Although he may have inherited Ronaldo’s number seven and his massive price tag too, Hazard simply cannot score 50 goals per season due to his player profile but can score 15 at least.
