MBAPPE’S AND HAALAND’S CHANCES OF SIGNING SHOOT UP

Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe don’t seem to be the kind of footballers who want to be drowning in millions of euros and in fact, it is quite the opposite by the looks of things, at least with the latter who has refused contract extensions with Paris Saint-Germain. Both of their chances of signing for Real Madrid, or even Barcelona next year go up and that is good news for La Liga too.

Haaland and Mbappe will not just be stars of a single club, they will be stars of an entire league. In the Premier League, it is not really possible for one player to have that limelight, whereas the Serie A and Ligue 1 now have Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to steal that spotlight, respectively. The Bundesliga meanwhile is of a relatively slower standard than La Liga and other leagues.

By signing for Real Madrid (or as a long shot even with Barcelona), the stock of La Liga will go up and the Spanish top division will not require much time to reach its peak. Especially with Paris Saint-Germain, one must be mindful that their starring players like Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos, and Angel di Maria are all older and will not last long to market the league as Mbappe and Haaland will.
