PAUL POGBA

Paul Pogba seems to be staying put at Manchester United this season and only time will tell whether he renews his contract or not. However, there is an air of certainty that he will be keen on a winning project and could wait until the business end of this season before deciding whether he wants to continue at Old Trafford or pursue a new challenge away from the Premier League.

His contract ends in June 2022, which allows any club outside of England to negotiate a deal with him starting from January 2022. Paris Saint-Germain may also be interested, but if the player is keener on fulfilling his ‘dream’, then Real Madrid will be in a pole position. Pogba will be the perfect replacement for Odegaard, and also Modric if he departs next year at the age of 37.

In his and Manchester United’s opening fixture, Pogba should do what he is capable of by setting up four goals in a 5-1 thumping of Leeds United. He was also astute defensively. Pogba will be a great option to sign for free in 2022, but this year it is looking increasingly likely that he will stay and fulfill his final year at the very least at Manchester United.
