Fede Valverde’s current contract expires in 2025, which is a long time from now. And if Real Madrid are looking to extend his stay with them for even longer, it shows that the club has a lot of faith in him, and this will also give him a message of total confidence. This is a great move from every single angle.
With Luka Modric and Toni Kroos both entering the final years of their respective careers, Valverde will be the immediate as well as long-term future of the club’s midfield. Real Madrid have lost many young players that could’ve played their role in that future alongside Valverde, which is why keeping him around is absolutely crucial.
