4. Sporting RB Pedro Porro

On number four, we have a player who is older than Jeremie Frimpong and a little more established. He is someone who has generated quite a reaction among the fans of top clubs hunting for a right-back at the moment. Madridistas too have had their say in Sporting’s Spanish fullback, Pedro Porro.

Originally a Manchester City player (Sporting have an option to buy after the two-year loan), Pedro Porro has spent a good chunk of his career traveling in different parts of the world and playing in different conditions during his loan spells. He is currently with the Portuguese Champions, Sporting CP until the end of his loan in June next year. Having started his football in Spain, he is someone well accustomed to Spanish conditions and has played as recently as 2020 with Real Valladolid when he was on loan from Manchester City.

He really hit his fullest with Sporting when he played in a league-winning campaign. Keeping that aside, he has shown tremendous determination and proved that he is here to continue with his form. He already has two goals and an assist in the Primeira Liga so far from seven appearances, per WhoScored.

It is easy to understand why he is a crowd favorite. He is an extremely entertaining player to watch who possesses exceptional control with his passing. His strong suit is in playing long balls and taking set-pieces. His crosses are to drool over for and he provides plenty in the attack. He has averaged 1.9 in crosses, 1.7 long balls, and 1.6 in key passes per game this season in all competitions. No wonder, everyone is high on Porro right now.
