Kylian Mbappe continues to deliver for Paris Saint-Germain despite all the speculation and drama on his future that took a toll on his mental health during the summer break.

The France international stepped up for PSG against RB Leipzig after scoring the opener along with an assist for Lionel Messi in a Man of the Match performance.

Paris Saint-Germain are more than happy with Mbappe’s consistent performances but there continues to be a shadow of doubt over the player’s future. The 22-year-old’s contract runs out next summer, and he is yet to ink a fresh deal with PSG.

While Kylian Mbappe wanted a move to Real Madrid last summer, the Frenchman has not completely ruled out an extension with PSG. Thus, according to Abdellah Boulma, PSG have hope that Mbappe would possibly extend terms on a short contract rather than leave the club for free.

It is unlikely that Kylian Mbappe would extend amid interest from Real Madrid

It looks like PSG are being sold a dream that Kylian Mbappe would extend terms for a year or two and then leave the club for his desired destination, Real Madrid. The 22-year-old has already won everything at Paris Saint-Germain ( excluding the Champions League) and whether or not he wins this year’s edition with the super-team that PSG put together over the summer, his decision to leave the club looks final.

Florentino Perez has already hinted towards a possible deal in January after stating : “We hope that next year everything can be solved.” Perez is not one to sell false hope, and given his close affinity towards Kylian Mbappe, one can be certain that a deal this winter could be finalised.

Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain have also prepared a couple of offers for Mbappe. One of the offers reportedly have a total net salary estimated at 25 million euros a season. Paris Saint-Germain could even hand out a blank check for Mbappe because he is the focal point of the club’s current and future sporting project.

On the flip side, Real Madrid do not need to use financial or monetary incentives to attract Kylian Mbappe. The club’s allure, history, and charisma are more than enough for just about any player in the world. Mbappe included.

With that being said, it all boils down to Kylian Mbappe’s final decision. He could either extend terms with PSG for two years and then leave a season later on a transfer fee. Or he could leave the club this summer.
