Real Madrid have been working on signing Kylian Mbappe from PSG for a very long time, and there is hope among the fans that a deal with the Frenchman will be signed once it is January. I don’t really see why that won’t happen, but there was some concern among fans regarding the quotes of Mbappe’s mother, saying that talks with Paris-Saint Germain are going well regarding a contract extension with the club.

Even Mbappe, in his detailed interview with RMC Sport, didn’t reveal where he will be playing next season. But, one would assume it has more to do with just being professional and abiding by his contract with PSG, and less with actually wanting to re-sign with PSG.

But, of course, there’s always an off-chance, and no one wants to ride on false hope and assumptions. But, this latest development in the Real Madrid-Kylian Mbappe transfer saga may finally tell us what is going to happen in the first two months of 2022.

Real Madrid aim to start their new era with Haaland & Mbappe as cornerstones

According to reliable journalist Gianluca Di Marzio via Eleven Sports PL, Real Madrid have already reached an agreement with Kylian Mbappe, and he has a contract ready to be signed in February. According to the report, only an “incredible surprise” can change Mbappe’s mind, as his decision is final.

Di Marzio has also said that Real Madrid will try to get Erling Haaland together with Kylian Mbappe, as it is important for them to start the new era with both of them in the team. I think that’ll be excellent in every aspect possible.

From a financial standpoint, it makes a lot of sense, from a marketability standpoint, it’s blatantly obvious how crucial it’ll be for Madrid to have those kinds of superstars again. From a revenue standpoint as well, and do I even have to mention their impact on the pitch?

Coming back to Kylian Mbappe, though, I think it’s another indication that Mbappe will certainly join Real Madrid next summer. I think signing the Frenchman would be the club’s topmost priority, and bringing in anyone else, for now, is secondary.

The fact that they won’t have to deal with PSG and their weird antics to sign Mbappe is something that brings me a lot of joy. Real would also save a lot of money as they’d be getting Mbappe for no transfer fee, and that saved money could be used on players like Haaland, maybe a centre-back, a right-back.

The puzzle is not complete. There are many holes to fill, but I am pretty sure that the club is looking to go ahead with it one after the other. All I can say is, 2022 cannot come sooner.
