Eden Hazard’s Real Madrid career looks done and dusted now, since the Belgian international has fallen down the pecking order under Carlo Ancelotti. Hazard, who was signed for a club-record transfer fee worth 100 million euros (excluding add-ons) was expected to be the face of the club post-Ronaldo-era.

Currently, Hazard role at the club has been refined to the bench with the Belgian only starting four out of the nine games he’s played in La Liga so far. He’s only played 343 minutes so far in the league after losing his place in the starting eleven to Vinicius Jr, who has deservedly secured a permanent and undroppable spot from the eleven.

The Brazilian scored a double against Elche in Los Blancos’ previous fixture in La Liga and has now risen to the status of a “superstar” in the team after he was previously termed to be a future prospect or talent.

Meanwhile, Eden Hazard has lost his place completely in the squad. The left-wing no longer seems like an option for Hazard because of Vinicius and neither can Hazard replace the players who play out on the right wing, partly because Hazard’s never actually been a proper right-winger, nor does he provide the width or the defensive coverage that Ancelotti requires from his wingers.

Ancelotti does not have a fixed right-winger at the moment because of Gareth Bale’s injury. But Rodrygo Goes has made the case recently to secure that spot permanently, or at least until Bale’s return.

Not only does the 20-year-old contribute effectively in the attack (despite playing out of position) he also helps the defence a lot, which is a contributing factor that Carlo Ancelotti greatly appreciates. In fact, Eden Hazard has even fallen below the ranks of Marco Asensio who is also pretty ineffective in most games but still gets the nod ahead of the Belgian.

With time running out for Eden Hazard and patience running thin at the Spanish capital for the club’s most expensive transfer. It only looks certain that Hazard could be on his way out in January this winter transfer window. If that is the case, then which are the three clubs that Hazard could sign for.

NEWCASTLE UNITED

A new era awaits for Newcastle United following the takeover by the Saudi Public Investment Fund. I had written an article on the same about five possible players that could be sold to Newcastle United, one of them being Eden Hazard.

According to reports, Newcastle United are one of the many clubs that are interested in signing Eden Hazard in the January transfer window. The new owners at Newcastle will be looking into the option of signing some of the big names in European football to bring back the glory days at St James Park and fill out the stands.

It makes sense why Newcastle are interested in bringing Hazard back to the Premier League. The Belgian was arguably one of the best players in the English top-flight during his stay in Chelsea and has etched his name in the history books of the PL as a legend, winning the Premier League on two occasions.

If Eden Hazard does return to the Premier League and signs for Newcastle United, his signing would ensure that season memberships and tickets would be sold out. Hazard has the aura to please crowds and he very well might just find his rhythm in the league where he dazzled the world with his nimble feet.
