Real Madrid are looking to start their next era of dominance very soon. This project has been in the works for a few years now, and we are just now seeing glimpses of what it can grow into. Real Madrid have players like Fede Valverde, Vinicius Jr, Eduardo Camavinga, and so many more who are going to be very important figures of the club when the project finally comes to fruition. While players like Vinicius Jr are already performing at incredible levels, there is still so much room to improve because of the sky-high potential of the Brazilian.
And, according to reliable journalist Martio Cortegana, Real Madrid want this project spearheaded by none other than Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland.
According to the reporter, Real’s priority isn’t just signing Mbappe; both of them are seen as priority targets for the summer, and Real will try to land the signatures next summer. They are financially capable of doing it.
Mbappe and Haaland would bring back Real Madrid’s free-scoring days
Kylian Mbappe’s contract, at the time of writing this, is set to expire next summer, while Erling Haaland’s contract has a release clause that will reportedly be activated in the summer of 2022.
Mbappe’s situation is much simpler, since practically the whole world knows that Real Madrid want to sign him and they will likely be the player’s next club. Haaland, on the other hand, has a lot of clubs fighting for his signature. There are many, many buyers for the Norwegian, and signing him would be a difficult task. Not impossible, but difficult.
The fact that Real have Florentino Perez means that practically nothing’s impossible, since he has a knack for making difficult, unexpected signings. I think Manchester City are Real’s biggest competitors for the signing of Haaland.
Getting both Mbappe and Haaland for the next era of dominance would surely be a fantastic move from Florentino Perez. We’re talking about two of the best players in the world, and they aren’t even anywhere near their prime. Their growth is frightening, and if they keep going like this, there aren’t many players in today’s game that would be able to match their quality. Having both of them in the same team would send shockwaves to the rest of Europe. Couple that with Vinicius Jr’s rapid growth, you have a potent attack that will wreak havoc every time it takes the pitch.
That’s what Perez reportedly wants to do, and I think he will do whatever it takes to make sure it happens.
