2. EDEN HAZARD

Eden Hazard has been rumoured with an exit from Real Madrid after being linked with Chelsea and Newcastle United in the Premier League. Hazard, currently faces a tough situation at the Spanish capital after losing his spot in the starting eleven to Vinicius Jr. He’s further fallen down the pecking order as the likes of Marco Asensio, Lucas Vazquez and Rodrygo Goes are given more preference by Carlo Ancelotti.

Ancelotti’s decision of limiting Hazard’s minutes despite being fully fit has called for criticism, mainly from fans who think the Italian coach has some personal agenda against the player. While the agenda notion is ridiculous, Ancelotti’s treatment of Hazard is not as bad as the media or some fans portray it to be.

While I confidently believe this would be Eden Hazard’s final season at Real Madrid, I highly doubt that he would be leaving the club in the January transfer window.

The 30-year-old is still determined to turn his situation around at Real Madrid and has not yet thrown in the towel. His professionalism and attitude towards improving his current predicament are praise-worthy though I doubt there’s much he could do to change Ancelotti’s mind.

While Hazard certainly would not want to leave in the winter transfer window, I doubt whether there would actually be any offers on the table for the Belgian in January. Although Chelsea and Newcastle United are interested in bringing Hazard back to the Premier League, it’s unlikely that either club would make an approach for him mid-season.

In other words, Hazard would most likely not be transferred in the January window although you cannot completely rule out a move. Meanwhile, the season is far from over yet and if Hazard continues working hard, the way he has been doing so all this while, he could possibly get to play a bigger role in the remaining games of the season.
