The saga, at long last, will reportedly come to an end in January. Real Madrid have been pursuing Kylian Mbappe, who is the most valuable player in world football, for a couple of years now.

They waited patiently until the dying embers of the 2021 summer transfer window to send PSG multiple, lucrative bids when the star man had one year left on his contract. They did not have a scheme to steal Mbappe for free.

But since PSG did not negotiate with Real Madrid, Mbappe is now in a position to leave for free. He has resisted every contract offered to him by the Parisians. No amount of money is seemingly capable of shifting the 22-year-old forward from his goal – being the main star of his childhood dream team, Real Madrid.

Now, MadridistaReal reports that this January, Kylian Mbappe will indeed sign a pre-contract agreement with Real Madrid.

It does not seem as if Mbappe will wait or give PSG any more time to negotiate with him. He will sign a pre-contract deal as all free agents can six months before their deal ends, and then he will join Real in June.

Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid would not be announced during the season

MadridistaReal states that a presentation will likely take place in July at the new-look Santiago Bernabeu – the perfect venue to unveil the perfect signing.

They further state that no announcement will take place while Mbappe is still playing for PSG. Again, a good decision. Mbappe already had to deal with enough blow-back from PSG fans during the transfer rumors in August.

Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, and Karim Benzema could form the most fearsome attacking trio in the world, blowing out of water what many thought the trio of Neymar, Lionel Messi, and Mbappe could be. Better yet, Real Madrid still have ambitions of signing Erling Haaland. Could you imagine the two best players in the world at the Bernabeu for the next several years? Or maybe even three, if Vinicius Junior keeps this up?

After the heartbreak and the false hopes of August, Madridistas will not consider Mbappe a new signing or a guarantee until they see the “Comunicado Oficial”. Even then, many fans would probably have to see Mbappe at the Bernabeu with the iconic “7” shirt, assuming Eden Hazard goes or gives up the kit, to truly believe it.

MadridistaReal have been extremely reliable over the past year, so there is a very, very good chance the deal happens. After all, as they report, nobody else is going to even try to sign the French superstar at this point, and he has made it crystal clear he wants Madrid. PSG have done nothing to show goodwill to him or to prove that their project can, in any way, change his dream.
