LW Vinicius Junior

Like Thibaut Courtois, Vinicius Junior is an MVP for Real Madrid and a guarantee in the starting XI. He was breathtaking on the ball against Real Sociedad, scoring the opener after combining with Luka Jovic.

Vini will surely score more than 20 goals in La Liga in this breakout 2021-2022 campaign, and he has been just as irresistible and clinical in the Champions League. Against Inter’s back three, Vinicius should have plenty of more key passes, dribbles completed, and fouls drawn. It may be more difficult for him to score, but as we saw against Sevilla, no chance is a slim one when Vini is on the ball. He has arrived.

ST Luka Jovic

And Real Madrid fans hope that 2019 summer signing Luka Jovic has arrived, too. The young Serbian international may have had his fairytale match over the weekend at Real Sociedad. After entering the pitch for an injured Karim Benzema with the mood somber, Jovic did not immediately give Madridistas reason for hope with a subdued first-half performance.

But after presumably getting more instruction – and thus confidence -at the break, the backup striker showed his world-class potential and 2018-2019 quality at Eintracht Frankfurt. Jovic was more involved off the ball than ever before in La Liga, and he finished with the decisive assist and goal in a massive 2-0 win in a tough environment.

If he can stand out against Inter with Benzema still out, then Jovic could earn more opportunities. Maybe he can even prove he is a part of Madrid’s future.

RW Rodrygo Goes

Rodrygo Goes scored the winning goal the last time Real Madrid faced Inter Milan. And that was not the first time the young winger played the hero against the Serie A giants. Marco Asensio should not be starting for Real when he and Rodrygo are both the options at right winger. Rodrygo is the man for the job. Do not be surprised if he contributes to another goal against Inter. He is quietly in good form and is doing a little bit of everything for Los Blancos. Dani Carvajal will, for example, continue to appreciate the young man’s defensive work rate.
