1. PSG FW Kylian Mbappe

There was never any doubt as to who would be leading this list. Logical reasoning falls short when we discuss Kylian Mbappe’s transfer to Real Madrid. It’s a seasons’ long story now. Real made their move in the summer but only to be rejected by PSG. They did maintain their position on Mbappe. Real are going to make a move in the winter to show their goodwill for PSG otherwise he is all set for a free move in the next summer.

Mbappe is an established celebrity of the game now and Real Madrid’s talisman Karim Benzema is playing out his last remaining days in his career. Benzema is 34 right now and could maybe go on at the same rate for a couple of seasons more. This is where Mbappe logically fits in Real Madrid’s equation. After Karim Benzema, he’d be the undisputed celebrity at the Bernabeu.

The team is already so good without Mbappe, they are outscoring their xG, scoring a lot of goals, putting on entertaining shows, and have found their new protagonist in Vinicius Junior. Now imagine how good this team will be with Kylian Mbappe’s finishing added on to it. This would be a transfer of the dreams. No kidding

Mbappe’s season, too, is going very well. He has been PSG’s main man even after the addition of Lionel Messi in the attacking trident. Per WhoScored, he has been PSG’s best player with seven goals and eight assists in Ligue 1 in 16 appearances that include four MOTM performances. In the Champions League too, he has a team’s highest eight-goal contributions with four goals and four assists, another team-highest stat!

He would be THE move to make in the next summer and he’d be a free agent nonetheless. If this free move is materialized it would be a tough competition towards becoming the best free-agent signing with Robert Lewandowski’s move to Bayern Munich in 2014. That also means Real’s recent free acquisition in David Alaba will be dethroned from being club football’s best free signing in the last seven years.
