Real Madrid breakout star could get special FIFA 22 card

Real Madrid players have been cleaning up shop in FIFA 22 this year when it comes to LaLiga Player of the Month awards, as you would expect from a star-studded team sitting in first place in the league.

Vinicius Junior won the award and the special card rated 87 in November. Real Sociedad defender Robert Le Normand earned the honors the month before, and Karim Benzema received a special card rated 91 for the first month of the season.

And now a third Real Madrid star could win the LaLiga Player of the Month award for FIFA 22, and you can help him win by voting here.

Eder Militao has been incredible for Los Blancos this season, building on his strong close to the 2020-2021 season. Militao had a rare 10/10 performance in a clean sheet win over La Real at the Anoeta this month, in addition to a shutdown performance against Lautaro Martinez and Inter Milan in the Champions League.

Though the win over Inter does not count, he definitely deserves to be among the nominees for the December LaLiga Player of the Month from FIFA 22.

Who are the other nominees?

Eder Militao is competing with the likes of Juanmi and Lucas Ocampos

There is Sevilla star Lucas Ocampos, who is an exceptional player and has played a key role in the side competing with Real for the league title in second place. Veteran striker Jorge Molina, long-time LaLiga fullback Damian Suarez, and even Rayo Vallecano speedster Alvaro Garcia made the cut.

Real Betis’ Juanmi is another notable name and serious competitor, as he has blown up this season with 11 goals for Los Verdiblancos. His team sits in third, and he sits in second in the goal leaderboard between Real Madrid superstars Karim Benzema and Vinicius Jr.

Finally, a former Madrid striker, Hugo Duro, has made the cut due to his continued excellence for Jose Bordalas’ Valencia side.

Juanmi has a serious case, as does Ocampos, but it would be wonderful to see Militao get this honor and special card. And he has a couple of major advantages to winning.

The first is that Madridistas will vote for him. And the second is that he is a fast, elite center back. Those players are always in demand in FIFA 22 and incredibly valuable. He could help out a squad more than anyone else on this list, and, therefore, it is in the best interests of fans to get the opportunity to pack – or even just buy – a center back of Militao’s quality.

So vote away and hope that a great, underrated center back can get this honor and take another step closer to shedding the “underrated” label. It is only a matter of time before the Brazilian is known as one of the world’s best central defenders.
