We finish discussing a Real Madrid loanee and move on to a 2021 summer signing who is shining with the first team. Eduardo Camavinga had a big game against Athletic Club in the final fixture of 2021, recording a team-high six tackles in the No. 6 role for Los Blancos with star man Casemiro out due to a suspension.

Though Camavinga himself earned a fifth yellow card that will lead to his suspension for the first LaLiga fixture of 2022 against Getafe, the ex-Rennes standout was a positive for Real, taking his individual display as a whole.

Camavinga has done a little bit of everything for Real Madrid in his first half-season since joining from Ligue 1. A target of Florentino Perez’s sign the start of the 2019-2020 campaign, the French teenager has perhaps more upside than anyone under the age of 21 associated with the club.

A future superstar in midfield, Camavinga scored an important goal in his debut at the Santiago Bernabeu as part of a comeback win over Celta Vigo. He even had the game-winning assist at the San Siro in a 1-0 victory over Inter Milan in the Champions League.

There is no telling how far Camavinga can go with Real Madrid. Loved by the fans and the manager alike, the youngster is a real team player. He could have an exceptional 2022 and set himself up as an even bigger part of the lineup in the 2022-2023 season, which would likely be right center midfielder Luka Modric’s last in the Spanish capital.
