Mariano Diaz

Will Mariano Diaz leave Real Madrid before the expiration of his contract? I think that’s the question everyone is asking. The club clearly want to find a new home for the striker but the issue is that they have been trying for a few seasons now. The problem is that Mariano simply refuses to leave. You can think what you want about it but it’s his right, in the end it was Real Madrid that gave him the contract. Regardless of all this though, he is a player who is on the club’s transfer list and they will be trying once again to find him a new club.

Mariano loves the club and trusts himself enough to believe that he could be an important player at the Santiago Bernabeu. Even if he isn’t good enough to replace Karim Benzema in the starting lineup, his aim is to be the first off the bench whenever the French striker needs a rest. As time goes on though, this continues to be more and more difficult. If you add Kylian Mbappe to this squad as well next season, then Mariano’s extremely limited chances will be practically non-existent when the new campaign begins. Would he really be satisfied with that? Unfortunately, past experiences with the player suggests that he would be fine with it.

Clubs such as Rayo Vallecano have come calling for Mariano’s services in the past and even though Real Madrid were ready to let the forward go, he was not ready to accept. This summer, things could be different and more clubs could come calling but there is no guarantee that he accepts the offers that may come his way.
