This whole Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid saga has been a long one. It’s probably one of the longest sagas I can remember, and even though we now know for sure that Erling Haaland will not be joining Real Madrid, the anxiety about this transfer is high, even though it’s likely that Mbappe will end up joining the club, considering they are reportedly close to agreement on the image rights issue.
There are many reports talking about his almost imminent arrival, and there are also some about what his role would be like at the club, and what his possibilities of playing as a striker look like for now and for the future.
We’ve all looked at reports about Real not announcing the deal until the end of the season, but there is one report from Melchor Ruiz of COPE, talking about when the signing would be made official by the club.
Real Madrid will announce Kylian Mbappe’s signing in the first week of July, per report
Ruiz says that Real Madrid will make it official in July, which is a long time away. Of course, I think we will know what Mbappe wants to do before July, but it’s all a matter of an official announcement, which, according to the journalist, will be made in July.
There are reports from Felix Diaz saying that Mbappe will announce his decision to leave PSG after their last game of the season, so that gives us more than a month in between.
Interestingly enough, Mario Cortegana, one of Real Madrid’s most reliable journalists, said that he thinks this week could be a very good week for Real, and I really think this has something to do with Mbappe. Of course, it’s just my assumption, but it’s fun to think about.

Hopefully we get the second Real related Here We Go of the summer, or something about the club’s interest in Aurelien Tchouameni. Irrespective of what is announced and what isn’t, though, I think we will know in the next two weeks whether Mbappe wears white next season or not.
