As Real Madrid fans keep an eye out for transfer updates regarding dream targets Kylian Mbappe and Aurelien Tchouameni, they also know that an even more important order of business is keeping the key players who have brought the club the Supercup and LaLiga trophies, as well as a chance at the Champions League this season.

No player’s breakout has made more of a difference than Vinicius Jr.’s. The new superstar on the left wing has reached the rarified air of 20 goals and 20 assists in the same season, and he has helped Karim Benzema reach the Ballon d’Or level.

Luka Modric, Eder Militao, and Nacho Fernandez are other players for Real Madrid to renew, but no renewal is bigger for the long-term health of the club than Vini’s.

It’s a damn good thing keeping him is easy, as Vini loves the club and would pretty much take whatever deal is offered. Of course, Real value him just as much – look at how much Florentino Perez has believed in his investment – and want to pay him his worth.

Vinicius Jr. is expected to earn 10 million euros on his next Real Madrid contract

According to the latest information from MARCA’s most respected reporter Mario Cortegana, Real Madrid are ready to offer Vinicius Jr. a contract extension through the 2027/28 season that would pay the Brazilian forward 10 million euros net in wages.

And as is customary, he would receive the “untouchable” release clause of one billion euros, as have other players viewed as superstars of the present or future, such as Fede Valverde.

A salary of 10 million euros for Vini is not cheap, and he would almost certainly take it. But it is a bargain in comparison to how much other elite players make. Vini Jr. is one of the top five players in the world right now. Compare that salary to Gareth Bale’s 30 million euros or the more than 20 million euros that Eden Hazard currently takes. That is not a commentary against Bale or Hazard, who were worth that money at the time of signing their deals. It is merely an observation that Vinicius would still be cheap compared to his production.

The sooner this deal gets done, the happier Real Madrid fans will be, even if there is really no uncertainty or worry regarding his future. Vini Jr., as everyone can tell, loves Madrid with all of his heart.
