Zinedine Zidane knows a thing or two about elite midfield play. The former Real Madrid player and manager is widely regarded as the best midfielder of all time. I mean, he is one of the greatest players of all time at any position, and he is also one of the greatest managers ever, three-peating the Champions League. Even as a manager, he worked midfield magic with the legendary trio of Toni Kroos, Casemiro, and Luka Modric.
After leaving Real Madrid’s managerial post for a second time after the grueling 2020/21 campaign, Zidane is now enjoying retirement. He rejected PSG and is waiting for his opportunity to coach the French national team, which he, by the way, led to a World Cup/Euro double in 1998 and 2000.
Zinedine Zidane was spotted with Jude Bellingham
He may not be done helping Madrid, though. Perhaps Agent Zizou has one more gift for Madridistas in the coming transfer windows. At the Champions League Final, he was spotted snapping a photo – and very likely talking to – Borussia Dortmund star midfielder Jude Bellingham and his brother.
Bellingham is only 18 years old, yet he is already one of the top midfielders in Europe. He is excellent at carrying the ball, embarrassing defenders, and creating chances. Bellingham had 6 goals and 12 assists in all competitions for the Black and Yellows, which is just outstanding.
Only scratching the surface on his ability, Bellingham is on Real Madrid’s transfer radar as a possible Luka Modric successor in 2023/24. Though the Merengues are rightfully going hard after Monaco’s own world-class youngster Aurelien Tchouameni, Bellingham is even younger, is more attacking, and has more upside. There is room for both. And Real have money to spend now.
Already, Bellingham is a superstar. Zidane wanted to bring Paul Pogba to the Santiago Bernabeu, but, thankfully, that ship has sailed now. Helping convince Bellingham to go to Madrid would be an even bigger move, as Bellingham could set the table for the next decade.

He is someone to be excited about in the future. For now, though Tchouameni is the focus. Jude won’t be available until 2023. Dortmund REALLY need him.
