Real Madrid Femenino could announce two blockbuster signings soon
Real Madrid fans are on edge, as the club lost two of the best players in the world in forwards Kosovare Asllani and Marta Cardona. The departures of these two superstars comes at a time when fans are critical of the way Las Blancas have been managed, with Asllani speaking publicly about how players are forced to push through injuries and illness.
Amidst the bad news and the calls for change, Madridistas could welcome two more star players to the fold, in the hopes that they and the current Real Madrid Femenino players will be treated much better by management.
First, Relevo’s Mayca Jimenez and Sandra Riquelme report, that Manchester City star Caroline Weir has actually already passed a Real Madrid medical and will be announced soon.
Weir has been linked to Real Madrid for quite some time, and she is legitimately a superstar player who would be a big upgrade to the club. Few players have her technical quality, as evidenced by the multiple Puskas candidates she has put in the back of the net.
Caroline Weir and Sandie Toletti are reportedly set to join Real Madrid soon
So that would be great news to get some closure and have the signing of Weir officially announced. Real Madrid need more star power up top after the departures of Asllani and Cardona.
But Weir is not the only high-profile signing set to join soon.
Sandie Toletti is another player who has been linked to Las Blancas for quite some time, and it is L’Equipe which reports that Toletti will sign with the Merengue club in the “coming days”.
Because the Spanish league does not get as much hype as the FA WSL, Toletti is not as big of a name as Weir, but she is just as good. Toletti is an elite midfielder who has been DOMINATING Primera Iberdrola at Levante for the past couple of seasons after joining from Montpellier. We are talking about a French national team player here.
