Real Madrid have a lot of talent among their ranks. It is clear that all of the players on their roster are not going to get minutes. Some will have to suffer, some will be forced to leave because of said suffering. The same applies to the players in their Castilla team.

There are a bunch of players in that Castilla team that are too good to be playing for a third division team, but aren’t good enough to play for the first team, at least not yet. That is why they are open to selling some of their young players in the Castilla team.

They already sold Mario Gila to Lazio not too long ago, and according to a report from MARCA, they are finalising another sale.

MARCA reports that Real Madrid are selling Sergio Santos to Leganes, and a transfer will be finalised very soon.

Real Madrid Castilla already have Vinicius Tobias to cover for the RB spot

We all know that Real Madrid bought a very talented, although raw right-back in Vinicius Tobias last season, and he is registered with the Castilla team until he morphs into a starting calibre player for Real Madrid.

So, even though Sergio Santos was a starter for Castilla last season, the club doesn’t need to bring in a replacement for him, they already have one.

Sergio Santos did play once for Real’s first team, but I think it was clear from the get-go that the club would look to sell him as soon as they can, because even though he has talent, I just don’t see him ever playing for the first team.

Maybe once he gets some first-team minutes under his belt, he would be able to start for a mid-table La Liga side.

Leganes, I don’t know much about, but I figure it would be a nice place for Santos to develop, and hopefully morph into the player Real Madrid hoped he would become.
