Real Madrid‘s transfer window following the Champions League-winning 2021/22 season has been a significant improvement over prior ones that were relatively uneventful.

The Spanish club has made a strong statement in the transfer market with the newest arrivals of Aurélien Tchouameni and Antonio Rüdiger in a solid move to reaffirm the club’s future and the departures of club legends like Isco Alarcon, Gareth Bale, and Marcelo, with several players still being monitored across different clubs.

In reality, when it comes to exits, Real have recently demonstrated a lacklustre strategy. For instance, the free transfer of Luka Jovic to Fiorentina after acquiring him for a whopping 60 million euros in 2019 has resulted in a considerable financial loss.

Furthermore, despite the fact that it was made evident to them that it would be nearly difficult to offer them minutes next season, numerous other names in the squad have rejected taking a leave, and their status has remained unchanged, with Real Madrid unable to do anything about it.

In this piece, I shall list three such names that the club needs to remove from their roster for a variety of reasons, including making room for newcomers and clearing out significant wage obligations for players who have not contributed or are expected to do nothing in the future.
