In the last few years, ever since they changed their transfer strategy, we’ve seen a bunch of great transfers from Real Madrid, but we’ve also seen a few really bad, unfortunate ones.

For example, Rodrygo and Vinicius Jr. were two very good transfers, and are on their way to become great Real Madrid players.

But, some other transfers, like signing Takefusa Kubo – who is now going to Sociedad – or signing Luka Jovic, now off to Fiorentina, or even Reinier Jesus, they’ve all been bad transfers. Things haven’t worked out for the players at the club nearly as well as they wanted, and now the club is looking for solutions to the problems.

One of those players – Reinier Jesus – was signed for 30 million Euros back in 2019. Since then, the man has barely played competitive football, and there aren’t many clubs interested in him because they just haven’t seen him play the sport.

But, according to Mario Cortegana, ever since the Benfica loan deal fell through, there has only been one club that has shown some interest in Reinier Jesus – Real Valladolid.

Valladolid might actually give Reinier some chances, unlike Dortmund

I’ll be honest, I haven’t seen much of Reinier Jesus. Whenever I tuned in to watch Dortmund games, the man was nowhere to be seen. He just didn’t play enough. It was probably because Dortmund didn’t actually believe in his qualities as a footballer, or at least, didn’t think he was ready. I don’t think he’d face that problem at Valladolid.

Now, no disrespect to Valladolid, but they are a few steps below Dortmund. They’re not playing for any European spots, but they can give Reinier a platform to play more, put him on the map and hopefully gather interest from better clubs.

Although, there is one thing that does bother me a little bit. It’s that the Lunin experiment at Valladolid didn’t go so well, but it’s a different position, so should it work out, I would still be optimistic.

Next. What should Real Madrid’s starting defense look like next season?. dark

I don’t see Reinier ever playing for the first team. Real are hoping for him to play well at Valladolid, and if that happens, and other clubs garner interest in him, they might be able to sell him on a 50% sell-on clause plus some fee, much like what they’ve done with Kubo and Jovic.
