Real Madrid, in the last few months, have been nailing down the most robust players for their future, and are trying to let go of the rest. They know which ones will lead the way for the team when the veterans drive off into the sunset, and they’re doing their best to protect them from bids by other clubs.

Vinicius Jr., a player whose hype is matched by the talent, was asked for by PSG, and he even got a million-a-week offer from the French team, but the player said no, and signed an extension with Real Madrid through 2027.

He also had a one billion release clause inserted into his contract.

Rodrygo’s contract extension is also imminent, and now, according to reports from Mario Cortegana, Real Madrid have successfully renewed star defender Eder Militao till 2028.

Reports say his release clause sits at 500 million euros.

Eder Militao is going to be the starting centre-back at Real Madrid for the considerable future

We’ve seen how good Militao is. From the first half of the season, he was one of the team’s best players, putting in one excellent performance after another.

After that, I don’t really know what happened to him, he wasn’t amazing in the second half of the season, but Militao still came through when it mattered most. In the second leg vs Manchester City, the final vs Liverpool, Militao was very good, for the most part.

A few blips in form are normal, especially for a teenager, but most Real fans know that the Brazilian is going to be one of Real Madrid’s starting centre-backs for a long, long time. He has the potential to become the best central defender in the world, and it’ll be pretty fun to actually see that happen.

Next. What should we expect from a pre-season El Clasico?. dark

Now that there is a 500 million euro release clause in his contract, I don’t think Militao is going anywhere. I see his future at Real, and I am very certain that even though he might not play as much if he has another blip like this next season, Militao would still be a crucial part of this special Real Madrid team.
