The stage had been set. The lore had been rehearsed. The spotlight knew just which face to look for among the throng. They’d all been waiting for it for what seemed like an eternity. Everything was crafted, but it all had to come down at the end.

He could be the prince here, the star of the show in Europe and at Real Madrid. Even as an opponent, the fans adored him and praised his name despite his efforts against Los Blancos. The admiration for him was unrivalled, but the hatred now surpasses it.

Kylian Mbappe’s coveted move felt like destiny written in the stars, but in the end, the player chose to drop out and insult the fans and president who adored and devotedly followed him.

Since then, the same followers have been extremely antagonistic to the Frenchman and loathe him wholeheartedly, as they have every right to do. The love for Mbappe quickly turned to unequaled anguish, and it didn’t take long for Madridistas to entirely forget Kylian Mbappe, as if he had never been associated with them and their club.

The failure of Mbappe’s deal has thrown a wrench in the club’s transfer plans and strategies. The executives are more cautious and unwilling to submit than in the past. The fallout from this botched tale will be felt for a long time, but Real Madrid will continue to win.

Despite the fact that the saga has passed, it only took the media a few weeks to rekindle the links after news of Mbappe’s renewed contract with Paris Saint-Germain expiring in the next three years sparked several speculations as to whether Real Madrid should go after him again after all the embarrassment.

Should Real Madrid pursue Kylian Mbappe again? Perhaps not.

El Chiringuito reporter Edu Aguirre recently spoke with socios of the club following their meeting with Florentino Perez ahead of the club’s general assembly, who said that the Real Madrid president has not closed the door on Kylian Mbappe.

This has sparked debate regarding whether Mbappe should be forgotten or given another chance. The notions have been disputed, but as the facts and arguments we collected reveal, there are more reasons not to pursue him again than reasons to do so.

Mbappe deceived Madridistas, and there is no coming back. His career aspirations appear to be risky, with a focus on his image and control rather than the professional and sporting aspects of the game.

Even if he does sign in the future, it will be very hard to pacify the crowd and win them back. The Santiago Bernabeu will be anything but forgiving.

The issue of Mbappe’s image rights will resurface during transfer discussions, as it did earlier this year, and during his possible future career at the club. The footballer recently declined to participate in the French national team’s photographs because of his dissatisfaction with his images being used for sponsorships with companies not of his choosing. If Mbappe joins Real Madrid in the near future, this dispute might become a big cause of friction.

Previously, there was a desperate need for Mbappe at the club, as the offensive prospects did not appear to impress in terms of potential after Karim Benzema’s possible retirement. However, the situation is no longer the same. Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo are putting up massive figures from the attacking front in both Benzema’s presence and absence, while talents like Iker Bravo and Sergio Arribas are being groomed for the future. Mbappe is almost entirely unnecessary in terms of team needs.

Moreover, acquiring the 23-year-old would impose a needless load on the wings, especially with the Brazilian youth constantly improving. Furthermore, Vinicius and Rodrygo are devoted to Real Madrid, unlike Mbappe, who has already deceived the club due to other aspirations.

Even after that, if a powerful forward is required in the team, Erling Haaland should be considered rather than Mbappe. The Norwegian is dominating the Premier League and has quickly established himself as one of the current generation’s fiercest attackers.

Haaland’s father has long shown his fondness for the Spanish league. The athlete has acknowledged how difficult it is to refuse when Real Madrid approaches. A future move to the best club in the world is not ruled out in the least, giving even more reasons to forget Mbappe.
