As being reported by AS, five Premier League clubs are ready to battle it out over the signing of Rodrygo as his departure from Real Madrid could be on the horizon this summer.

The Brazilian, who joined Real Madrid in 2019, is said to be unhappy with his role in the team, feeling he has fallen into the shadow of the likes of Vinicius Jr, Kylian Mbappe, and Jude Bellingham.

A host of the top clubs from England are all interested in recruiting Rodrygo, with those clubs being Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool.

The attacker has had interest from the Premier League in the past, rejecting a move to Manchester City last year. However, with the club now open to his departure, his future may lie in England.

While no official talks have been held with other clubs, the writing could be on the wall that Rodrygo's time at Real Madrid may be coming to an end very soon.

Rodrygo has not performed well for Real Madrid

The attacker has scored just once in his last 24 matches and has failed to follow up on the incredible season he had last year after a fantastic start to the season.

When you look at Real Madrid's squad, it is clear to see just how much talent is at the manager's disposal on any given matchday.

There is world-class talent at almost every position on the pitch, which is why many believe Real Madrid have the best squad in all of football.

However, as we have seen before with other teams, just because a group of players are talented does not mean they will gel together and play perfect football.

This has unfortunately been the case with Real Madrid's attack this season. On paper, the attack of Vinicius Jr, Kylian Mbappe, Rodrygo, and Jude Bellingham should be the most fearsome attack in the world, scoring goals for fun.

While yes, they have been scoring goals, their teamwork together is far from perfect, which has. This could have led Rodrygo to contemplate his future at the club, and there are a number of teams already keeping their eyes and ears open on his situation ahead of the summer transfer window.
