Real Madrid look set for a busy summer transfer window and there's still four months of the 2025-25 campaign to play. But the recruitment staff are preparing for an important summer in which it's likely there will be a new man at the helm.
Alvaro Arbeloa has been appointed as Xabi Alonso's replacement on a caretaker basis until the end of the season. It seems unlikely that he'll stay in charge once the campaign concludes in May.
Madrid are already being linked with high-profile managerial names including Jurgen Klopp. The latest rumor suggests Florentino Perez wants to sign Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland to help mark the start of a Klopp era.
But Haaland isn't the only player on Los Blancos' shortlist as they are eyeing a rising star who seemingly adores Cristiano Ronaldo.
Real Madrid showing interest in teenage frontman
It doesn't feel as though a new striker is a necessity but the worrying situation Madrid finds itself in might mean a rebuild that involves comings and goings. Another striker who is liked by the La Liga giants is Bayer Leverkusen's Christian Kofane.
Sky Sports Germany's Patrick Berger (via Madrid Zone) reports that Madrid are "very interested" in the 19-year-old who is impressing in the Bundesliga. He joined Leverkusen last summer and has found the net three times in 14 outings.
Kofane caught the footballing world's attention when he scored for Cameroon against South Africa at the African Cup of Nations. He celebrated by repliacting Cristiano Ronaldo's 'Suii'' celebration which entertained Madridistas throughout the legendary forward's spell at the Bernabeu.

The 19-year-old is expected to cost upwards of €50 million and it will be difficult to negotiate given he's just arrived at BayArena. But his apparent love for Ronaldo might help should the club make a concrete move for the Cameroonian.
Why Madrid might be considering two new strikers

Haaland is believed to have been on Madrid's wishlist ever since exploding at Borussia Dortmund. He was linked with Los Blancos until he joined City where he has broken countless goalscoring records.
Interest in the Norwegian might stem from uncertainty over Vinicius Junior's future with the Brazilian attacker's contract expiring in the summer of 2027. He might be the big money sale that triggers a swoop for Haaland although he will cost a ridiculous amount of money.
As for Kofane, he might be on the club's long-term wishlist, and perhaps they see him as an excellent Gonzalo Garcia alternative further down the line. Having two different profiles to choose from
from or play together might be the thinking
