According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona legend Neymar has yet again shown his support for Vinicius Junior. He has campaigned for Vini, his countryman, to win the 2024 Ballon d'Or. In Neymar's eyes, there is nobody else for the honour.

In his own words, Neymar said: "He had a great season, he played a lot of games and I will support him because he will definitely win the Ballon d'Or. There is no one better, he's an idol for us all."

This is quite a bold and definitive statement for Neymar to make. It particularly raises eyebrows, considering his ties to Barcelona and of course, experience with El Clasico.

However, Neymar is one of the more likeable Barcelona legends, from Real Madrid's perspective. He never bled Barcelona and he has consistently shown support for Vinicius Junior, showing he is a sportsman and values Brazil over club rivalries.

Without a doubt, Real Madrid fans hope that Neymar is right. As somebody who understands the game well, he is best-placed to offer his prediction.

And Neymar isn't alone in his campaign. After all, most people in the world think that Vinicius Junior deserves the award. He was the best player in the world throughout 2024, even scoring in the UEFA Champions League final.
