It is El Clásico this weekend, which means the soccer world will be watching as Real Madrid and Barcelona go head to head once again. This match is more about bragging rights between the two rivals as Barca have a 11 point lead over Los Blancos in La Liga.

Real Madrid can delay Barcelona from winning the division this Sunday, but only with a victory. Barca just needs a draw or a victory against Los Blancos to claim the title at the Camp Nou this Saturday.

Hansi Flick's side is on course to win back-to-back La Liga titles. However, things could not have gone worse for Real Madrid this campaign. The appointment of their former player Xabi Alonso as manager was thought to be a fresh start.

However, Alonso lasted just seven months at the Santiago Bernabeu after failing to manage a side with big egos. Alvaro Arbeloa then took the reins, but he will not continue as their boss beyond the remainder of the season. There have even been reports that their former manager, Jose Mourinho, will be Los Blancos' next boss.

Soccer fans all over the world tune in to watch the best players in action in El Clásico. However, both Real Madrid and Barcelona will be missing key players.

Real Madrid injury news

Federico Valverde has been ruled out after a training ground altercation with Aurélien Tchouaméni. Valverde had to be taken to the hospital after the incident.

Kylian Mbappé is a doubt after missing the match with Espanyol with a hamstring problem. He could feature, but possibly with limited minutes.

Andriy Lunin has started in goal for Real Madrid in their last six La Liga games. However, there is a chance that Thibaut Courtois could return after missing those games with a muscle tear.

Rodrygo, Éder Militão, Arda Güler, and Ferland Mendy are all out with long-term injuries. Dani Carajal will also be missing with a foot problem.

Barcelona injury news

Barcelona's biggest miss will be Lamine Yamal, who has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a hamstring problem. However, he should be ready for the World Cup with Spain.

Andreas Christensen has been out of action since December with a ligament tear. He is on course to return soon, but is unlikely to feature against Real Madrid.

Raphinha was on the bench in Barca's last game against Osasuna, but could now get minutes on the pitch after recovering from his injury.
