Rodrygo to Saudi Arabia in this transfer window? As far as Carlo Ancelotti is concerned, he will stay at Real Madrid. Excellent news.
Real Madrid have been quiet in the January transfer window. In fact, "quiet" is an understatement, they haven't signed any players, nor have they let any players go.
Oftentimes, this wouldn't be the end of the world. After all, Real Madrid have the most talent-packed squad in the world. In every position, there is at least one world-class player. Not many clubs can say that.
On the other hand, not many clubs have the injury concerns which Real Madrid have. Therefore, there was expectation that they would bring some players in to cover key areas of concern.
One area of the pitch which is of no concern to Los Blancos is the attack. If anything, Real Madrid have too many options in the front-line.
The likes of Rodrygo, Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe occupy the front three, whereas Arda Guler, Endrick, Brahim Diaz and Jude Bellingham are also able to play in such positions.
Today, it was revealed that Real Madrid should brace for a super offer from Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal, who are showing a keen interest in signing Rodrygo.
Carlo Ancelotti makes assured comment on Rodrygo to Saudi Arabia
According to an update from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Carlo Ancelotti does not envision losing Rodrygo. As far as the Italian coach is concerned, Rodrygo is the same as Vinicius Junior in that he wants to stay at Real Madrid to make history.
In his own words, Ancelotti said: “Rodrygo to Saudi Arabia? My players are very happy here and want to make history here. I said that about Vini, I repeat about Rodrygo”.
It is certainly true that neither Brazilian superstar has shown any sign of discontent at Real Madrid. Even during the first phase of the season which was tough for everyone, the two players kept their heads down and focused on giving their all to Real Madrid.
Now, it seems like Real Madrid attackers are back to their best. Long may this continue and hopefully, both Rodrygo and Vini Jr remain happy at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
Not that anybody needs reminding but Real Madrid have valued Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior highly for a long time. After all, the club included a hefty €1 billion release clause in both contracts. If this fee isn't paid, both players will become Real Madrid legends (if they are not already).
