Real Madrid were awful against Arsenal. They lost 2-1 at home, and all those conversations about a remontada were quickly put to rest when the fans saw the way their players played in such a high stakes game.

It was really poor, and it finally sparked conversations about Carlo Ancelotti's future at Real Madrid. Ancelotti has been at the club for four years in his second stint, and this could be his worst managerial season at the club. Such brutal losses to European rivals, as well as the way they have played against the not-so-big teams has been tough to watch.

Carlo Ancelotti will meet with Real Madrid about his future after Copa Del Rey final vs Barcelona

According to a report from Mario Cortegana of The Athletic, Ancelotti's future will be a topic of discussion between himself and Real Madrid after the Copa Del Rey final.

Real Madrid play Barcelona in just under two weeks' time, and the report says Ancelotti will meet with the club shortly after the match.

It also says that Ancelotti is showing interest to become Brazil's next coach, although it is still not a finalised deal by any margin.

Real Madrid should let Ancelotti go. I think there has been enough blame on the players, and rightfully so as they have been pretty bad, but Ancelotti deserves most of it, too. His tactics have not helped Real Madrid in a single big game this season, and it is slowly but surely turning out to be a point of discussion whether any other coach that comes to replace him would let any of this happen.

Sure, there is a chance Real Madrid lose regardless of the manager. But, the basics would be clear. There would be a clear gameplan, and a clear structure both offensively and defensively. Real Madrid need just that, and maybe a new manager coming in would help take the club towards just that.
