Carlo Ancelotti has addressed the possibility of Como player Nico Paz having a Real Madrid future. The Italian coach is definitely open to the idea of bringing him back.

Nico Paz is a product of the Real Madrid academy, which automatically grants him the possibility of an exciting future. There have been many exceptional examples of players who came through the Madrid academy, including Casillas and Dani Carvajal.

Of course, there are also those players who came through the Real Madrid academy but didn't exactly make it at Real Madrid. Those examples are Juan Mata and... Dare we mention his name... Alvaro Morata.

Nico Paz could be one of those players who makes a name for himself elsewhere from Real Madrid. Yet, the Santiago Bernabeu door remains open to him.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Carlo Ancelotti is open to welcoming Nico Paz back to Real Madrid. This is despite the Real Madrid academy graduate being sold to Como in the summer.

In his own words, Carlo Ancelotti said: “For sure he can be part of Real Madrid future. We’re constantly monitoring his progress at Como. He’s very good, he’s a top talent. This season was needed for Nico to play on regular basis out of Real Madrid, it was a smart choice”.

If Real Madrid wish to re-sign Nico Paz from Como, they can do so via the buyback clause route. Real Madrid have first dibs and they can secure Paz's signature again, for only €12m.

Including a buyback clause in a departing player's sale is not completely unlike Real Madrid. They are the best club in the world at thinking two steps ahead and this is exactly what they have done with selling Paz.

Essentially, it is similar to a loan deal. The only difference is that Real Madrid do not have to welcome Paz back to the club. If they choose to do so, they must pay a fee which is completely tiny in comparison to what other clubs might pay.
