Real Madrid loanee Endrick is having quite the half season over at Lyon in France, and he hit another high this weekend, scoring and assisting within the first 20 minutes to lift the underdogs to a win over Champions League favorites - and reigning winners - PSG in Ligue 1.

The outburst was a return to the starting lineup for Endrick after his brilliant performance off the bench against Lorient, fully responding to manager Paulo Fonseca's ludicrous criticisms of the Brazilian sensation.

Endrick's latest big game is a response to forces directly in Real Madrid, though. He was one of the signings of top scout Juni Calafat - the man who brought elite players out of nowhere like Fede Valverde, Rodrygo Goes, and Vinicius Junior to the club.

Juni Calafat is no fraud

With all the troubles Real are going through this season, the rumor mill has now pointed to Calafat as a potential scapegoat, and Madridistas have to be seriously concerned that the volatile Florentino Perez will try to get rid of him. The thinking behind the scenes apparently is that Calafat recently hasn't brought in players who are good enough or good enough fits for the Madrid squad.

That is totally laughable, and anybody trying to point out Endrick as a failed signing needs to get their heads checked. Endrick was brililant in the Copa del Rey for Carlo Ancelotti in his first season, and in his second season, Xabi Alonso screwed up the Endrick situation badly, failing to give his best left footed forward a chance. Instead, he signed and chose Franco Mastantuono as his chosen one, and while Mastantuono could be great one day, he is clearly not as good as Endrick right now.

By shining week after week for Lyon and being the team's most productive chance creator, dribbler, and now scorer since joining the French giants, Endrick is proving the point that he is far from a flop. In fact, even at the age of 19, the Brazilian international is already a star. He has been one of the best players in the French league since his arrival - the first time he has been a regular first team player in European football.

Juni Calafat was 100 percent right to encourage Real Madrid to sign Endrick. The only people who failed were the coaching staff, especially Xabi Alonso, and Endrick's stardom at Lyon is just as much an indictment of Alonso as it is further affirmation that Calafat is a great scout.
