Endrick is making a mistake that could ruin his Real Madrid future

Endrick's situation at Real Madrid is absurd. The playing time he received last season was negligible, and he did not have many opportunities under Carlo Ancelotti. Some would expect things to be different under the new manager. Xabi Alonso might give Endrick more minutes in comparison.

We don't know yet, but the rise of Gonzalo Garcia has definitely created a hurdle. Earlier this summer window, Endrick was offered a loan move. He was linked to Real Sociedad, but that deal collapsed in the end, according to multiple reports.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Endrick analyses the success story of Vinicius and draws inspiration from his journey, how he rose through the ranks, which is exactly why he wants to stay, fight for his place, and avoid going out on loan.

But here's the catch. The story Vinicius had, the rise he experienced, is not what Endrick is going to get. One must understand that while Vinicius had his struggles in the beginning, he was already highly proven and simply waiting for the right breakthrough moment. Most importantly, he had very little competition on the left wing.

Vinicius only had to contend with an utterly out-of-form Eden Hazard, who ended up being a total flop, and an already sidelined Gareth Bale. His road to success was obviously tough, met with many challenges and setbacks.

But one thing that was guaranteed to him under different coaches and management regimes was playing time. Endrick’s story is completely the opposite. He is not getting any minutes, and the rise of Gonzalo Garcia has only made it harder.

We know Xabi Alonso is a manager who prioritizes young players. That’s precisely why Gonzalo Garcia rose in the first place. And while Endrick may get more minutes under Alonso, the uncertainty caused by Garcia’s emergence cannot be ignored.

Endrick needs to understand that while Vinicius’ journey is inspirational, it is very different from his own. It’s not a story he can simply replicate, because the variables don’t favor him the way they did for Vinicius.

A loan option would have been much better for the Brazilian than waiting behind Gonzalo Garcia and Kylian Mbappe. The youngster needs regular minutes, and Real Sociedad were in a much better position to give him that than Real Madrid.

I don’t know if rejecting the loan move was a wise decision.
