Fabrizio Romano has just issued the infamous 'Here We Go' statement for Jacobo Ramon to leave Real Madrid and sign for Como.
So far this summer, Real Madrid has lost three players. Luka Modric, Lucas Vazquez and Jesus Vallejo all left the club, but in return, Real Madrid made €0. This is solely down to contract expirations.
However, if recent news is anything to go by, then Real Madrid just sold their first player of the summer transfer window. While the money they're set to recoup isn't going to afford an awful lot, it is yet again a futureproof deal which keeps Real Madrid in complete control.
Real Madrid will sell their first player this window
According to Fabrizio Romano, Jacobo Ramon is set to leave Real Madrid and sign for Italian outfit Como. The Real Madrid Castilla product is bound to leave Los Blancos for a fee reported to be €2.5m plus add-ons, based on player appearances.
Real Madrid still holds the power in the player's future. In a deal which is similar to that of Nico Paz, Real Madrid has included 3 buy-back clauses, which will allow them the first priority to re-sign Ramon, if he goes on to become a star they deem worth it.
Otherwise, Real Madrid also has a 50% sell-on clause, so even if they don't sign Ramon back, they would benefit from any potential future sale.
Jacobo Ramon was the right player at the wrong time
Jacobo Ramon is undeniably a great player with a great future. For Real Madrid Castilla, he's a player who's held in great regard. While the turnover is a natural byproduct of being Real's youth system, he is a player they'll surely miss.
Also, Ramon has experience in the Real Madrid first team. This alone comes with great pedigree, hence why Como were keen to invest some money in the youngster.
No matter which way you look at it, Como is better for Ramon's development than Real Madrid. The Italian side can promise him more game time to help hone his skills.
This is through no fault of Real's own; they have a squad full of world-class talent, so Ramon is simply the right player at the wrong time.
Further, Cesc Fabregas is a fine example of developing younger players. He did it with Paz, and he'll now do it with Ramon.
Due to how Real negotiated, fans can rest assured that even if Ramon goes on to be a world-beater, it will only benefit Real Madrid now he's been sold.
Excellent business.
